ANGLICAN LECTIONARY 2024

The Official Anglican Church Lectionary for Advent 2023 to December 2024 (Year B) for southern Africa.  It is an adaptation of the lectionary contained in An Anglican prayer Book 1989 (APB 1989). It conforms largely to the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) and uses the language of RCL in addition to that of APB 1989.

The principal readings of the lectionary refer to the main service on a Sunday whether that is the Holy Eucharist, or Morning Prayer or Evening prayer.  This lectionary is a composite lectionary and includes readings for five services: 1. Lectionary for Sundays and Feast Days  2. Offices of Morning and Evening Prayer  3. Lectionary for Seasonal Sunday evening prayer  4. The daily Eucharist and 5.  festivals and Commemorations.
