The Season of Lent
From Ash Wednesday 18th February 2026 until Holy week which begins on Palm Sunday 29th March the Christian church celebrates the season of Lent. Lent is a time of prayer, penance and fasting, commemorating Jesus' agony, suffering and death. It's therefore a time of preparation for Easter.
